PANACEO supports major theatre project at Landskron Castle - ‘The Curse of the Rose’ comes to Carinthia in 2025

In summer, Landskron Castle, which was voted the most beautiful place in Austria in the show ‘9 Plätze-9 Schätze’ in 2023, is transformed into an impressive stage for the theatre play ‘The Curse of the Rose’. The bestselling author couple Iny Klocke and Elmar Worath - better known under the synonym ‘Iny Lorentz’ - have already celebrated success with their novel ‘Die Wanderhure’ and have written the book ‘Der Fluch der Rose’ especially for Carinthia. 

Alfred Meschnigg, former cultural advisor and cultural prize winner of the city of Villach, founded the association ‘Sommerspiele Landskron’ and wants to organise the large-scale project with 52 amateur actors. The historical theatre project is a prime example of how regional cultural projects can only be realised with the support of strong partners. 

As a company from the region, it is important to us to promote cultural diversity and support exceptional projects. The play will be performed at the Landskron castle ruins in summer 2025 and promises unforgettable evenings in the open air. The stage and infrastructure first have to be built on the south-east side of the castle.
